The story of the more than 9,000 Spanish men and women who were deported to Nazi concentration camps by decision of Franco and Hitler. The documentary focuses on the testimony of a large group of Spanish survivors of Mauthausen, Auschwitz, Buchenwald and Ravensbrück who recount what life and death were like in these deadly enclosures built by the Third Reich. It also provides statements by historians and some revealing documents that demonstrate the complicity between Franco's Spain and Nazi Germany.
