Set on April 15, 1939, just two weeks after the end of the Spanish Civil War. Franco proposes celebrating the victory with a dinner at the Hotel Palace in Madrid with his generals. The young lieutenant in charge, the hotel maître d' and a group of Republican prisoners who are expert cooks face the challenge of preparing an impeccable banquet in record time, while simultaneously planning their escape.
