Anything can happen in this strange world, where New York is not the city we know: its people dress differently, behave differently, live by different rules - and are always ready for a miracle. Peter (Colin Farrell) arrived here as the child of immigrants, but because he wasn't allowed to set foot on land, he landed on a tiny boat. Since then he has become a skilled burglar and, after falling in with a gang leader, a perpetual fugitive. During one burglary, the young man falls in love with a mysterious, enigmatic girl - a terminally ill man. After another burglary, our hero and his white horse are engulfed in a mysterious cloud. When he reappears decades later, everything is different and he can't remember anything...
