From Neorealism to the present, numerous child actors have populated Italian Cinema. They starred in films that will remain forever in the history of cinema: from "The Children Are Watching" and "Shoeshine", to "Cinema Paradiso" and "Life is Beautiful". Some have continued their careers while others quickly burned out after rapid success. We meet them again years later to talk about the experience. We learn what happened and attempt to understand their thoughts today - missed expectations, disappointments and regrets, but also serenity, joy and satisfaction. We will reflect on how, and if, in different historical periods, such a powerful experience could affect or change forever the course of a lifetime.
