Black Gruja is a Serbian TV series, shot in 2003, produced by RTV BK "Telekom" and "BS Grup". The screenwriter of the series is Aleksandar Lazic, and the director is debutant Igor Stoimenov. The main roles are played by Sergei Trifunovic, Boris Milivojevic, Nikola Kojo, Nikola Pejakovic, Zoran Cvijanovic, Marinko Madzgalj, Dusanka Stojanovic, Nikola Simic, Ratko Tankosic, Gorica Popovic. The series was modeled after the English series "Blackadder" from 1982 with Rouen Atkinson in the lead. The outbreak of the Serbian uprising against the Turks leaves a corrupt local chieftain struggling to find a way to a better life.
