The action of the film begins with the departure of the wedding procession in front of St. Mary's Church. Then, passing the surrounding villages, the cavalcade reaches the farmer's house. The wedding of the intelligent groom begins with the bride, who comes from a peasant family. Guests also come from both states. The fun gets started quickly. At night, Rachela, a young Jewish woman with a sensitive, "poetic" soul, arrives at the host's roof. It is she who, succumbing to the wedding euphoria, "invites" Chochoł, standing outside the window, to a party. Into the cheerful buzz of the wedding feast imperceptibly seep into an aura of weirdness.
